Downtown Cleveland Clean & Safe
The Cleveland Cops patrol Downtown and keep it safe. Response time is under a minute.Visitors say: Downtown is very clean and safe! Thank this guy for keeping it clean!

Public Transportation
The Rapid Transit is located under the Terminal Tower in the center of downtown. It runs west to the airport and east to University Circle. The Award Winning RTA Buses are everywhere. RTA has the best drivers!

Parking Downtown
You don't have to put money in the parking meters on Saturday and Sunday or after 6 P.M. on weekdays.

The biggest complaint by visitors is about panhandlers. They won't assault you! They are persistent and will walk with you. If you feel intimidated give some change. Panhandlers are not homeless.They need beer and drug money.

Don't Drive Downtown
Leave your car at the hotel. Everything Downtown is within a 2 mile radius a $5-$6 cab ride! Park illegally get towed! Don't pay $10 - $20 - $30 to Park!----------------------------------------------------------
Safety
Please look at the traffic when you cross the street. Don't look at the light and start walking. Look at the traffic. It's common in Cleveland for 2 cars to roll through a red light. ----------------------------------------------------------
A Ghost Town
During the week if there is no sporting event or major concert Downtown passengers often ask: Where is everybody? It's a ghost town. There are a few places that always have people:Barley House, Winking Lizard, Blue Point, Flannery's, Christi's Cabaret, Map Room, Chop House, Sushi Rock-Wed. half price sushi 5 - 9 P.M. always crowded!

Shopping Downtown
The truth is shopping downtown sucks. Shopping at Tower City once was good but many of the stores have left. All that's really left is a food court. There are gift shops at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the Science Center and the House of Blues.
The closest place to shop is Steel Yard Commons a new strip mall 7 minutes southwest of downtown. Locals shop and eat here: Old Navy, Marshalls, Wallmart, DIY, Best Buy, Applebees, Steak & Shake etc.
The upscale folks shop 2o minutes east of downtown at the best mall Beachwood Place and Legacy Village. The next best malls are in Westlake, Strongsville, North Olmsted & Parma. They are 30 minutes from downtown.
